Adult Social Care Feedback Report

When we were deciding on our priorities for 2024/25 we asked the public what services they thought we should concentrate on, and Adult Social Care came in the top three.

As we had previously employed an Engagement Officer with a particular remit to look at Adult Safeguarding, we were equipped to get a better insight into Adult Social Care.

By listening to people's experiences we have learned things like;

88% of the people we spoke to told us that their conditions or illnesses reduced their ability to carry out day-to-day activities. We asked people what conditions they were living with that reduced their ability to carry out day-to-day activities

77% of people who completed the survey told us that their condition affects their everyday lives all or most of the time.

Almost 70% of respondents told us that they received support or additional support from a family member or friend acting as an unpaid carer.
