Hygiene Poverty Report - January to March 2023
Following on from our Hygiene Poverty Event in October 2022 we wanted to take a wider snapshot across the Borough to see how Barnsley residents were coping with the Cost of Living Crisis and what affect it was having on their health and wellbeing.
Over 500 residents responded to our survey and received a pack of essential hygiene products as a thank you.
We also asked local businesses if they would become involved and host a donation box for their staff to donate hygiene products or unwanted gift sets and we received an overwhelming response for which we would like to say an massive thank you!
These donations will enable us to hold another event to highlight hygiene poverty in October 2023 and again look at if things have improved or if they have got even worse.
