About this event
IA (Ileostomy and Internal Pouch Association)
After a period of inactivity, IA are excited to announce that they are relaunching their South Yorkshire IA Branch. This means that more people across the area can benefit from the services and support they offer.
A regular programme of meetings and events to support people living with an ileostomy or internal pouch will be held. They understand the importance of providing peer support and the benefits of talking to others who have been through a similar experience.
They also want to raise awareness of their work across the area through working in partnership with other organisations, healthcare teams and community services.
As part of the relaunch, they will be hosting an informal meeting on
Tuesday 27 August 2024, from 6:30pm to 7:30pm.
This will take place at the
Crowne Plaza Royal Victoria Hotel,
Great Central Room,
Victoria Station Road,
Sheffield,
S4 7YE
The meeting is open to anybody with an interest in their work. It’s an opportunity to hear more about the they services, and for IA to listen to what their members might like from their branch going forward. Light refreshments will be provided.
As part of the relaunch, IA are also looking to form a new committee of volunteers to support the planning and delivery of activities. They are recruiting now for volunteers to the roles of Chair, Secretary and Treasurer. These are flexible and rewarding roles, and offer full support to ensure that you have a great experience of volunteering.
