Dental resources for people with additional needs

As a result of requests from a number of charities, organisations and oral health improvement groups in South Yorkshire, NHS England's Dental Public Health team has collaborated with SY ICB and local partners to develop dental resources for people with additional needs.

The resources contain key oral health messages and information on accessing NHS dental care in Barnsley

These are:

  • Easy read guide titled ‘Supporting you to have a healthy mouth’ (for people with additional needs, including their parents, carers and others who support them) 
  • Accompanying information for health professionals/organisations who work with patients/clients with additional needs
